VidLearn Academy exists because good technical education in Sri Lanka has been either expensive, inconvenient, or built for people who already own a laptop and a quiet room. We wanted something different: courses you can genuinely complete on a phone, taught by people who do the work, at a price that does not require a loan.

Why we built this
We kept meeting the same person: bright, motivated, halfway through a free video series, and stuck. Not because the material was too hard, but because nothing held it together. No order, no feedback, no way to tell whether what they had learnt was actually enough.
Meanwhile the courses that did offer structure were priced for a different economy, assumed a desktop computer, and treated a phone as a fallback rather than the primary device it is for most people here.
So VidLearn was built the other way around. Curricula are sequenced deliberately and end in something you have made. Instructors are practitioners who answer questions. The whole platform is designed for a thumb on a 375px screen, and it happens to work beautifully on a large one too.

It is on our logo because it is the actual standard we hold ourselves to. One lesson should leave you able to do something you could not do before. If it does not, we rewrite it.
What we hold to
Mobile first, genuinely
Most of our learners study on a phone. Every screen is designed at 320px before it is designed at 1440px — not shrunk down afterwards.
Practical over theoretical
Each course is built around something you make. If a lesson does not move a project forward, it does not belong in the curriculum.
Honest about outcomes
We do not promise a job in thirty days. We teach the skill properly and tell you plainly what it takes to get hired.
Affordable by design
Prices are set for Sri Lankan salaries, several courses are free, and every course is a one-off payment you keep for life.
