Terms of Service

These terms apply when you use VidLearn Academy. By creating an account — with your email or with Google — or by using the site, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree on your behalf.

• Give accurate details, and keep them up to date — including a mobile number that is yours and can receive text messages.
• An account is for one person. Do not share it or your password.
• Keep your password and the Google account you sign in with secure. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
• If you think someone else has used your account, change your password and tell us through the contact page.

When you enrol in a course, you keep access to it for as long as VidLearn Academy operates, including later updates to that course. Free courses are free; paid courses are paid for once, not by subscription.

Instructors may improve or update their courses. If we ever have to withdraw a paid course, we will give you reasonable notice and either a way to finish it or a refund.

Prices are shown in Sri Lankan rupees on each course page.

14-day refund. If you ask within 14 days of enrolling in a paid course, we will refund the full price to the way you paid. You do not need to give a reason — send us a message through the contact page. A refund ends your access to that course and cancels any certificate for it.

Courses are for your own learning. You may use what you learn — and any code, templates or files an instructor gives you for that purpose — in your own work.

You may not:

• share, resell or publish course videos, lessons, quizzes or files;
• download or record videos, or try to get around the protections on them;
• let other people learn through your account.

Assignments and projects you submit stay yours. You allow us to store them and your instructors to read, mark and comment on them.

If you write a review, you allow us to show it publicly with your name and photo. Reviews must be honest and about the course.

Quizzes and assignments must be your own work. When you complete a course we issue a certificate with an ID anyone can use to check it. A certificate shows that you completed a VidLearn Academy course; it is not a formal or accredited qualification unless the course page says so. We may withdraw a certificate that was earned by cheating.

Do not use VidLearn Academy to:

• break the law, or infringe anyone’s copyright or other rights;
• harass, threaten or mislead other people, or pretend to be someone else;
• upload viruses or other harmful files;
• try to break into accounts or systems, or overload the service;
• copy the site or its content with automated tools;
• send spam or advertising.

Instructors are responsible for the material they publish and must have the right to use it. They must treat learners’ personal data only as needed to teach and mark their course.

We work to keep VidLearn Academy running and your progress safe, but we cannot promise the service will never be interrupted, for example during maintenance or problems with our providers.

We provide the service with reasonable care and skill. As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect losses, such as lost income or opportunities, and our total responsibility for a course is limited to what you paid us for it. Nothing in these terms removes rights you have under Sri Lankan consumer law.

You can stop using VidLearn Academy at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms; if we do, you may lose access to its courses and certificates. Unless the breach is serious, we will warn you first.

We may update these terms as the service changes. We will update the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell you on the site or by email before they take effect.

These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka, and disputes about them are for the courts of Sri Lanka.
