How do I enrol in a course?

Create a free account, open the course you want, and select Enrol. Free courses start immediately; paid courses are added to your account as soon as payment is confirmed.

Do I need any equipment?

A phone with a browser is enough for most courses. Programming courses are far easier if you can reach a computer with a keyboard for a few hours a week — you can still watch and revise on a phone.

Are there fixed class times?

No. Every lesson is pre-recorded and available whenever suits you. Some instructors run optional live sessions, and those are always recorded and posted afterwards.

What language are courses taught in?

Courses are taught in English, with captions available on video lessons. A few courses include Sinhala or Tamil resource sheets — this is noted on the course page.

What does a course cost?

Prices are shown in Sri Lankan rupees on each course page, typically between Rs. 2,500 and Rs. 8,900. Several introductory courses are free.

No. You pay once per course and keep it for life, including future updates to that course.

Yes. Contact us within 14 days of enrolling and we will refund you in full. You do not need to give a reason.

Courses frequently run at a reduced price, shown as a struck-through original on the course card. We also offer group rates for schools and companies — contact us for details.

Does my progress save automatically?

Yes. Video position, completed lessons, quiz attempts and assignment submissions are all saved to your account continuously. Close a lesson mid-video on your phone and it resumes at the same second on a laptop.

Can I download lessons for offline viewing?

Course resources — PDFs, code files and worksheets — can be downloaded. Video lessons stream rather than download, so you always have the current version.

What happens if I fall behind?

Nothing. There are no deadlines on lessons and no penalty for a gap. Assignments have suggested due dates so instructors can plan feedback, but late submissions are accepted on most courses.

Can I ask the instructor questions?

Yes. Each course has a Q&A area, and instructors answer directly. Many also run live sessions covering the questions that come up most.

Do I get a certificate?

Yes. Complete every lesson in a course and a certificate is issued automatically, with a unique ID anyone can verify.

Are certificates recognised by employers?

A VidLearn certificate shows you completed the course and can be verified, which employers do value — but what convinces them is the project work you produce along the way. Every course is built so you finish with something to show.
